What I bought from the Singapore International Coin Fair 2019

Attending the Singapore International Coin Fair has been a yearly affair for me. This year, it runs from 22 to 24 March 2019 (today till Sunday!). I attended the fair today and here are some pictures:

First time the Royal Australian Mint participating in the coin fair:

Pandas, Pandas, and more Pandas!

Assortment of coins

What I bought:

39 grams Silver Piedfort Proof Commemorative

2019 $1 Fine Silver Frosted Uncirculated Coin Kangaroo Series

2019 $1 1oz Merlion Privy Mark 40mm Ag Singapore Coin Special

2012 China Silver Panda, Philadelphia World's Fair of Money

2013 China Silver Panda, Berlin World Money Fair

China 70th Anniversary of the Issuance of the Renminbi

Hope you all enjoy the photos. With these purchases, cash level has dropped and precious metals allocation has increased.

  1. They are beautiful!

I think I cannot 'invest' in coins. Because instead of treating them like investment (commodity), I would end up treating them more like collectible jewelries. Eventually they would have more sentimental than monetary value such that I can't bear to divest them.

  2. Unintelligent Nerd,

What you bought at the Coin Fair?

    Coins?

    LOL!

I see you are a man of culture ;)

When you have your own bachelor pad, "want to see my silver coins collection" can be a good "euphemism" to get girls to your place ;)

Once upon a time, a bald guy used it on his stamp collection instead.

Where got girls insterested in stamps!?

When a grl says "yes", it meant... Yes!

    :)

    1. Hi SMOL,

Coin Fair has slowly been turning into a notes fair over the years. Don't laugh hor, people can go there to look at notes instead =P

      Wah! Like that also can!

Heng pandas, kookaburras, and kangaroos are cute ;)

  4. UN - Hahaha..... you are a coin guru now! I see that you have a fetish for panda....

SMOL - times change. By the way, if the girl is at your place and asked "hey... I see that this stamp is very beautiful, can you give me as a welcome gift?"

Will you give? At least you are giving out stamps, but UN have to give up his precious coins!

Couldn't recall the exact number. Should be around $45-50 or so.
